The Marshall Municipal Utilities’ Board of Public Works approved employees’ COVID-19 Emergency Paid Sick Leave Policy.

Megan Baldridge, MMU’s Human Resources Director, says its current policy will expire on Friday, December 31 – unless extended by the board.

Baldridge gave the details of the revised policy, previously discussed during a meeting in September.

The board approved the revision of its COVID-19 Emergency Paid Sick Leave Policy and extended it through June 30, 2022.

In other news, IT & Broadband Director Jim Widel advised the board the IT support group currently has two vehicles – one from 2011 and one from 1999. Widel requested that the board make a motion to purchase a new vehicle with a budget of $30,000.

General Manager Jeff Bergstrom and the board discussed its options.

The board approved Widel’s recommendation to open bids for a new IT vehicle.
