After average high and low temperatures plummeted by double digits from October to November, the average high and low temperatures dipped by less than a handful of degrees in December from November at the KMMO Studio in Marshall.

According to numbers provided by the National Weather Service, the average high temperature only dropped 4.1 degrees from November to 53.1 degrees in December. The high of 74 was recorded on December 16.

The average low temperature slipped to under freezing at 30.9 degrees in December from 34.9 degrees in November. The low of 18 degrees was registered on December 19 and 20.

Less than an inch of precipitation was recorded during December. Of the 83-hundredths of an inch for the month, 43-hundredths of an inch fell on December 28 and 34-hundredths on December 29. Precipitation was recorded on only four of the 31 days.
