A 28-year-old man has been charged with a felony for allegedly threatening people with a weapon on December 27, 2021.

According to a report from the Pettis County Sheriff’s Department, a deputy responded to the location where there was a report of an unstable subject causing a disturbance. Witnesses at the scene alleged Yevgeniy Surguy was armed with a knife and threatening to kill people.

Court documents say Surguy is charged with a felony for unlawful use of a weapon- exhibiting. Bond is fixed at $15,000 cash or surety.

Surguy was arraigned on December 28. His next hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 11, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
