An area health department has compiled a total of 286 positive COVID-19 cases, broken down by school geographical boundaries.

According to the Cooper County Public Health Center, the case count includes all individuals living within the geographical boundaries of a school district.

Boonville led with the most cases in December, with more than 70 percent of the month’s total at 204 cases. Followed by:

  • Otterville School District with 23 cases;
  • Pilot Grove School District 20 cases;
  • Bunceton School District 17 cases;
  • Blackwater School District 10 cases;
  • Prairie Home School District 9 cases; and
  • Out of County School District 3 cases

Health officials say walk-in COVID-19 vaccination clinics, for persons age 5 and older, are held from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 5 p.m. every Thursday. No appointment is needed.
