
Junior Ray Saylor, 87, of Marshall, died Thursday, December 30, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Memorial graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 6, at Blue Lick Cemetery south of Marshall. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family to help defray funeral expenses or to the American Diabetes Association. Friends may sign the online register book at www.campbell-lewis.com
Born June 14, 1934, in Saline County, MO, he was the son of the late Otis Grant Saylor and Stella Jane Canida Saylor. On December 29, 1957, he married Wanda Pannell who preceded him in death on September 1, 2009. Junior lived in Marshall most of his life and retired from ConAgra after 36 years of service. He loved watching westerns, gardening, fishing, sitting on the front porch watching people go by and going for car rides and eating out for breakfast with his friend, Willis Brooks.
Survivors include two daughters, Amanda Day of Marshall and April Deems (Chris) of Columbia, MO; 10 grandchildren, Abby Rogers, Nikki Day, Madison Valiquette, Destiny Jenks, Dakota Hood, Adrain Hood, Brooklyn Hood, Colton Hood, Bryce Deems and Drake Deems; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Junior was preceded in death by 15 siblings.
