A 38-year-old Sedalia resident has been arrested after the execution of a search warrant in the 1300 South Osage Avenue on Wednesday, January 5.

A press release from the Sedalia Police Department says members of the Crime Resolution Unit allegedly located methamphetamine, marijuana, items of drug paraphernalia and evidence to indicate methamphetamine was being distributed from the home. In addition, an individual prohibited from possessing firearms was found to be in possession of two handguns- one of which was reported stolen from Johnson County.

Authorities are seeking multiple drug and other felony charges.

Per KMMO policy, the name of the suspect will not be released until formal charges are filed.
