The City of Concordia has announced the hiring of Karen Underwood as the Receipts Clerk for utility bills and the City’s Municipal Court Clerk.

A press release says Underwood worked for Shoe Show, Inc., of Concordia, North Carolina, from 2006 through 2017 as store manager in the Marshall location- The Shoe Department. She was promoted to district supervisor and served in that role from 2017 through 2021.

City officials say, “Karen brings a proven knowledge of customer communications and conflict resolution to this position.”
