
Firefighters battled a blaze in a Lafayette County city on Wednesday, January 5.
According to Lexington Fire and Rescue officials, the call came in at 11:45 a.m. for a fire at an abandoned house at the corner of 6th and Branch Streets.
Firemen were on scene until after 3 p.m.
The building was a total loss. It has been ruled undetermined criminal.
Fire department officials consulted with the investigator, but the department’s internal Fire Marshal Assistant Chief Dan Bland- a certified fire investigator- conducted this investigation.
No injuries were reported from the scene.
