More than 250 positive COVID-19 cases were reported in Pettis County from December 27-January 3.

According to minutes from the Pettis County COVID-19 Task Force meeting this week, as of January 3, there were 8,655 positive cases reported as compared to 8,400 on December 27 and 8,260 on December 20.

The DHSS website is reporting Pettis County has a positivity rate of 14.9 percent for that seven-day period, which is an increase from 12.1 percent for the previous week with PCR testing.

The locally-calculated positivity rate for the week of December 22-28 was 16.06 percent. During the most-recent counting period, there were 817 PCR tests and 525 antigen tests for a total of 1,342. The week previous, there were 1,239 tests.

The Vaccine breakthrough ratio for the week of December 26-January 2 was 55 out of 252 cases for a rate of 21.8 percent.

There was a total of seven cases who had received boosters and six were partially vaccinated.
