Ruth Katherine (Lovercamp) Bredehoeft, 93, of Alma, passed away on January 7, at Good Shepherd Care Community in Concordia.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 12,  at Trinity Lutheran Church in Alma, with Pastor Bernard Ross officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 11,  at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Concordia. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery in the Flora Community near Alma. Born August 29, 1928, in rural Corder, MO, she was the daughter of the late Omar Lovercamp and Bertha Vogel Lovercamp. She was baptized on September 22, 1928, at Trinity Lutheran Church by A.H. Griesse. She was confirmed on March 29, 1942, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Alma. She attended school for eight years at Trinity Lutheran School and four years at Alma High School. On February 19, 1950, she married Harvey Bredehoeft at Trinity Lutheran Church. Harvey preceded her in death on November 17, 2011. They resided on a farm southeast of Alma and in later years moved into Alma. She was active in their farming operation and kept the records and bookkeeping. She was an active member of the Farm Bureau, Pork Producers and served in the capacity of president of the Missouri Porkettes. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Trinity Lutheran Guild and Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.

Survivors include three children, Neal (Kathy) Bredehoeft, Gene Bredehoeft and Clark (Holly) Bredehoeft; seven grandchildren, Crystal Sheets (Jared), Lorie Kreisel, Aimee Bredehoeft-Meyer (Dylan), Lacey Bredehoeft-Fiene (Ross), Tyler Bredehoeft (Samantha), Jordan Bredehoeft (Breanna) and Sydney Bredehoeft (fiancé, Channing Hickman); eight great-grandchildren, Brooks Kreisel, Easton Sheets, Tate Kreisel, Creyton Sheets, Drake Fiene, Maya Fiene, Beckett Bredehoeft and Amelia Bredehoeft; two brothers, Omar Lovercamp (Bonnie) and Kenneth Lovercamp (Barbara); four sisters, Vera Waak, Ann Meyer (Delbert), Geraldine Wagner (Gene) and Helen Fliege (Arthur); and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Wulser and Ruby Hemme; and one brother, Karl Lovercamp.
