Herbert L. “Junior” Bock Jr., 76, of rural Alma, MO, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 10,  at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 15,  at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Concordia with William W. Harlow officiating.  Burial will follow at Three Groves Cemetery near Alma.  Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested to Three Groves Cemetery and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com

Born June 28, 1945, in Higginsville, he was the son of the late Herbert L. Bock Sr. and Dorothy Brinkman Bock.  Junior lived on the family farm his entire life and he was a 1963 graduate of Alma High School.  On June 17, 1984, he married Barbara Smith who survives of the home.  Junior was a lifelong farmer and member of Three Groves Baptist Church.  He served the Lord as a Sunday school teacher, Sunday school superintendent, church clerk, deacon and trustee.  Junior enjoyed being outside farming on his John Deere tractors, as well as working cattle, and when inside, he enjoyed watching sprint car races.

In addition to his wife, Barbara; he is survived by one daughter, Christina Wessler (Cliff) of Concordia; one granddaughter, Charlotte Pearl Wessler; two sisters, Elda Goetz of rural Higginsville and Darlene Buford of Alma; as well as other extended family.
