A 40-year-old Slater man has been charged with domestic assault after an incident on December 17.
According to a probable-case statement, an officer responded to a residence for a report of physical assault. Upon arrival the officer made contact with Kenneth Findley. Findley told the officer he and the victim’s mother were attempting to take away her phone for punishment. The altercation allegedly became physical, although Findley denied hitting anyone.
Upon further investigation, the two teens involved allegedly showed the officer video footage showing Findley physically assaulting them.
Court documents say Findley is charged with second degree domestic assault. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.
Findley was arraigned on January 12. A confined docket hearing is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 19, at Saline County Circuit Court.
