The KMMO listening area is under a Winter Weather Advisory.

According to the National Weather Service, the advisory is in effect from midnight tonight until 6 p.m. Saturday, January 15.

Along with winds gusting as high as 40 mph, snow expected with total accumulations of 2 to 4 inches. Motorist should plan on slippery road conditions, and significantly reduced visibility due to patchy blowing snow.

Authorities say drivers are urged to slow down and use caution. The latest road conditions for the state you are in can be obtained by calling 5-1-1.

The Winter Weather Advisory includes Carroll, Cooper, Howard, Johnson, Lafayette, Pettis and Saline counties.
