The active case count of COVID-19 continues to climb in Chariton County.

According to officials at the Chariton County Health Center, 39 new positive cases were added and 32 of the active cases were released from public health isolation on Friday, January 14.

The total number of positive COVID-19 cases is 1,534 since the beginning of the pandemic.

With 1,463 of the positive cases being released from public health isolation and 20 COVID-19 related deaths, the active case count has increased to 51.
