Boonville R-1 Schools will transition to a temporary period of Virtual Learning (AMI). This plan was made to directly address staff illness and a severe substitute shortage within the district.
According to district administrators, this includes:
— Wednesday, January 19- Virtual Learning Preparation Day;
— Thursday, January 20- Virtual Learning AMI In Session Day; and
— Friday, January 21- Virtual Learning AMI In Session Day.
Wednesday’s preparation day will allow tech teams to distribute devices and kitchen staff to prepare meals-to-go. Pickup meals will be provided for students on Thursday and Friday during Virtual Learning in the circle drive at LSE Middle School. No signup is needed for meal pickup. If your family is in need of Pirate meal delivery, you are urged to fill out a quick form at <https://forms.gle/ubYSLkPPZQpFg5SG7>.
Over the weekend, administrators say they will continue to closely monitor the situation and determine plans for the next few days.
Administrators say, “No decisions on school closure or AMI days are made lightly. Serious thought and consideration are taken before any action is taken.”
District parents/guardians are urged to monitor their e-mail for information from their student’s school building.
