Saline County Auditor Karlin Breshears was at the meeting of the county commission on Thursday, January 20, and gave the bullet points of the county’s 2021 budget and the 2022 budget.

Breshears said on average the county has seen an increase in revenues. The 2021 budget had a few areas that accrued some additional unforeseen expenses, but funds were available to take care of those needs. There were additional fees for audits due to CARES Act funds; and she noted, the current ARPA funds will need to be audited, as well.

Breshears says some line items have been increased in this year’s budget.

Breshears continued….

The budget was available for county residents to view and make comments for 10 days in the circuit clerk’s office. Commissioners approved the budget during the meeting.
