Due to railroad improvements, the City of Sedalia has announced a scheduled street closure.

According to a news release, the Union Pacific (UP) Railroad has notified the city that beginning at 7 a.m. Tuesday, January 25, and continuing through 5 p.m. January 26, U.P. is scheduled to be making improvements to the rail crossing at the street intersection at North Park Avenue.

City officials say travelers will need to plan alternate routes, as the roadway will be closed to through traffic during the planned construction period.

The closest through street to the east of North Park Avenue is North Grand Avenue.
