Bond is fixed at six figures for a La Monte man who is charged with felonies after he allegedly robbed another man on January 21.

According to a report from the Pettis County Sheriff’s office, deputies responded to a residence in reference to a 9-1-1 hang-up call. Once on the scene, deputies were told by the alleged victim that he was robbed of $60 to $80 and a phone charger by a man with a butterfly knife. He said the robber’s first name was Dayton and gave authorities a detailed description. The alleged victim later selected Dayton Wayne Foster out of a 12-picture photo lineup.

Law-enforcement officers traveled to an address known to be frequented by Foster and found him trying to hide under a pile of clothes. Authorities also say they located some methamphetamine and marijuana on Foster.

Court documents say Foster is charged with felonies for robbery in the first degree, armed criminal action and possession of a controlled substance. Bond is set at $125,000 cash or surety.

Foster’s initial hearing is pending at Pettis County Circuit Court.
