Another COVID-19-related death was reported in Chariton County on Monday, January 24.

According to officials at the Chariton County Health Center, the death raises the county’s total to 21 since the beginning of the pandemic.

Health officials also say 27 new positive cases were added, but 51 of the active cases were released from public health isolation, dropping the active case count from 51 on Friday, January 21, to 32 on Monday.

In all, there has been a total of 1,649 positive cases in the county.
