The COVID-19-related death count stayed the same, but the active case count inched up in Chariton County on Wednesday, January 26.

According to officials at the Chariton County Health Center, there has been a total of 21 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.

Health officials also say 25 new positive cases were added, and 23 of the active cases were released from public health isolation, increasing the active case count from 32 on Monday, January 24, to 34 on Wednesday.

In all, there has been a total of 1,674 positive cases in the county.
