During the meeting of the Saline County Commission on January 20, commissioners opened bids for the contractor to purchase scrap metal from the county’s Road and Bridge Department.

Northern District Commissioner Stephanie Gooden announced the details of the bids received.

Commissioners approved the bid from Vogel during their meeting on Thursday, January 27.

In other business, commissioners approved the hiring of Joseph Campbell for a part-time position in the communications division at the Saline County Sheriff’s Office. His start date is Thursday, February 3.
