A special meeting of the Sedalia 200’s School Board is scheduled to be held on Friday, January 28.

Following Superintendent Steve Triplett’s announcement of his retirement, the Sedalia 200’s School Board is scheduled to hold a special meeting to discuss the process for hiring a new superintendent at 6:30 p.m. Friday, January 28.

According to the agenda, other topics that will be discussed at the meeting include the official job description for superintendent, interview questions and the process for filling the vacancy.

School officials say public is welcome to attend in-person or watch watch the live-stream on the district’s Youtube channel. The in-person meeting will be held at the Heckart Performing Arts Center at Smith-Cotton High School.

Triplett’s retirement will go into effect June 30, 2022.
