More than 200 positive COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in the Lexington R-5 School district since the beginning of the school year, including 21 active cases.
District administrators updated the COVID-19 numbers on Friday, January 28, and they include a total of 216 positive cases, up from 193 on January 21.
The total breaks down as 59 at LBS; 58 at LMS; 57 at LHS; 21 at ECC; 18 at LLRTC; and two at BOE.
The percentages of students and/or staff excluded by building: 25 percent at ECC; six percent at LBS; and two percent at LHS, LLRTC and LMS.
District administrators say, “If your student is considered a close contact, you will be notified by the district.”
