Knob Noster State Park has announced the closed bridge on the Hawk Nest Trail is in the process of being replaced.

According to the state park, funding for the bridge was provided by a Recreational Trails Program grant. The removal of the old bridge began on January 24, and it is expected to take three weeks to finish the project.

Officials ask visitors to keep in mind that a portion of the trail will be closed throughout the process.
