Betty Lou Phillips Eddy, 85, of Marshall, MO, died Sunday, January 30,  at Legendary Nursing and Rehab in Marshall.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 8, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall.  Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.  Memorials are suggested to Community Cancer Center in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com

Born January 29, 1937, in Linn, MO, she was the daughter of the late Alexander Victor Schafer and Ruth Perner Schafer.  On January 18, 1954, she married Howard “Junior” Phillips who preceded her in death on January 29, 1986.  On June 25, 2002, she married Wallace W. Eddy who preceded her in death on December 24, 2014.  Betty lived in Marshall most of her life and worked as a nurses aid in nursing homes and then until her retirement from Marshall Habilitation Center.  She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, a former member of the Saline County Democrat Club, and enjoyed playing bingo.

Survivors include four sons: Howard V. Phillps (Mardonna) of Versailles, Raymond E. Phillips of Warsaw, Jeff A. Phillips (Shani) of Columbia, and James G. Phillips of Marshall; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one sister, Patsy Harper of Richmond; as well as nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Betty was preceded in death by one son, Ben Wayne Phillips; one sister, Mary Miller; and two brothers, Jerome “Bo” Schafer and John Victor Schafer.
