Born in Grand Pass, MO, on June 12, 1934, Nancy was the youngest of five children born to Donald & Anna Bell Young.  In 1934 the Young family moved to Wellington, MO, where Don worked on the railroad.  When Nancy was 11, her mother Anna Bell suffered a stroke and passed away.  Don’s youngest brother, Maurice (Junie) Young & his wife Miriam (Fulkerson) Young, offered to care for Nancy in their home in Marshall.  Miriam & Junie had a daughter, Doris, who was the same age as Nancy and they became very close being raised in the same home.

In 1951 Don passed away.  God’s provision was made for her through Miriam & Junie, who loved & cared for Nancy as their own, and later would love Nancy’s three sons, as their grandchildren.

After graduation from Marshall High School in 1952, Nancy moved to Kansas City, MO to work as an office clerk.  A year later she would return to Marshall, and shortly after met her first husband, Lee Roy Liesemeyer, and they were married on June 27, 1954.  Lee Roy owned & operated Marshall Mill & Cabinet Works in Marshall, until the time of his passing in 1986.  On January 1, 1989, she married R.E. “Bob” Schultz and he preceded her in death on January 2, 2015.

Nancy was an active member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.  Nancy’s faith in Christ was the foundation that gave her such a servant heart and content spirit. In addition to her church involvement, she was also involved in supper club, bridge club, and enjoyed playing golf.

Survivors include three sons: Jerry Liesemeyer of Burlington, WI, Brett Liesemeyer (Laurie) of Sedalia, and Doug Liesemeyer (Sherry) of Ozark; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.  Nancy is also survived by Bob’s family: three children, Jackie Guthrey (Charlie) of Marshall, Steve Schultz (Linda) of Columbia, and Greg Schultz (Shirley) of Marshall; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; a brother and sister in infancy; and two sisters, Willie Meeker and Mary Hoffman.
