Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers have been very busy since midnight on Wednesday, February 2.

According to the highway patrol, troopers have responded to 2,038 calls for service; 1,140 stranded motorists; and 460 traffic crashes that included 24 injuries and one fatality.

Highway Patrol officials urge residents to avoid nonessential travel.

They also say, “Road crews are still hard at work trying to treat and clear the snow and ice.”
