During the meeting of the Saline County Commission on Friday, February 4, Northern District Commissioner Stephanie Gooden reminded area residents that a certain grant filing process is still open.

Gooden says it is through Region F.

In other news, commissioners approved $646.49 of ARPA funds for COVID tests for the Saline County Justice Facility.

Commissioners said with this payout, the available funds for which different entities can apply is about $849,000 of the $2.2 million the county received in May 2021.

Commissioners added, the county is scheduled to get its second half of the $4.4 million total from the federal government in late March or early April this year.

Gooden said the commission still is accepting applications for potential funding.

Also, commissioners approved annual bids from for rock, lime, chips and plastic pipe from Boone Quarries, Skyline Materials LLC and Viebrock Sales and Service.
