The Lexington R-5 School District has updated its COVID-19 numbers.

According to district officials, as of Friday, February 4, there have been a total of 229 positive cases since the beginning of the school year, including 8 active cases.

The total breaks down as 67 at LBS; 61 at LHS; 58 at LMS; 21 at ECC; 20 at LLRTC; and two at BOE.

The percentages of students and/or staff excluded by building: eight percent at ECC; three percent at LBS; two percent at LHS/LLRTC; and one percent at LMS.

District administrators say, “”If your student is considered a close contact, you will be notified by the district.”
