Charged with felonies for allegedly breaking into a residence and assaulting a woman on January 5, 2021, a 25-year-old Marshall man is due in court.

A probable-cause statement says Erik Ivan Aguirre was arrested after Marshall Police officers responded to a call from a juvenile who said a man was entering a home where he had been banned and was assaulting the juvenile’s mother.

Aguirre is charged with felonies for burglary in the first degree and third-degree domestic assault. Aguirre pleaded not guilty to all charges on January 26. Bond remains at $50,000 cash only.

A pre-trial conference scheduled for November 15 and a two-day jury trial that was scheduled to begin on December 28 were canceled. A counsel-status hearing is scheduled to be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 7, at Saline County Circuit Court.
