
The Lafayette County Health Department reported a decline of active positive COVID-19 cases on Monday, February 7.
According to health officials, the total number of deaths remain at 99 since the beginning of the pandemic.
There are 20 individuals hospitalized due to the virus. The positivity rate for Lafayette County is 21.54 percent, per the CDC COVID Data Tracker.
There have been 4,948 total positive cases, including 45 active cases.
The case count since January 31 breaks down as 71 in Odesssa; 55 in Higginsville; 51 in Lexington; 21 cases each in Bates City and Concordia; 12 in Waverly; 10 in Wellington; six cases each in Napoleon and Rural Oak Grove; Alma, Blackburn, Corder, Dover, Emma and Mayview had less than five cases each.
