A Warrensburg man is facing multiple felony charges after he allegedly killed another man nearly two years ago.

According to a felony complaint, Wayne Lewis Hill Jr. is alleged to have knowingly caused the death of Joseph Campbell by shooting him with a 3-year-old child and an infant in the room on or about March 7, 2020. More than four dozen witnesses have been identified in the complaint.

Court documents say Hill is charged with felonies for murder in the second degree, armed criminal action, voluntary manslaughter, involuntary manslaughter, assault in the first degree, unlawful use of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child.

Hill’s initial appearance is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Monday, February 14, at Johnson County Circuit Court.
