
A 60-year-old Sedalia man facing a sex-related felony charge involving a child is due in court.
A Sedalia Police report says on September 29, the child alleged to a Child Safe investigator and authorities that David Lee Paxton Jr. touched her inappropriately and described the incident in explicit details from two to three years ago.
According to court documents, Paxton is charged with a felony for child molestation in the first degree. Paxton posted $25,000 surety bond on November 3.
Paxton’s case was bound over to the trial division, and he is scheduled to be arraigned at 9 a.m. Monday, February 7, at Pettis County Circuit Court.
