Kenneth Wayne Blair, age 80, of Arrow Rock, MO, died Thursday, February 3, 2022, at his home.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, February 10, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Inurnment will follow at Arrow Rock Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Born May 3, 1941, in Osborn, MO, he was the son of the late Kenneth Richard Blair and Helen Musick Kessman, both who preceded him in death, and his step-father, George Franklin Kessman, who also preceded him in death. Ken lived a complete and full life. He had worked for the railroad, owned and operated his own construction company, and was a man of many trades. He managed Red Gate Stables in Lee’s Summit and had a love of working with and training horses. Ken moved to Arrow Rock after meeting Clara F. “Bunny” Thomas at a dance they both attended. Ken and Bunny spent over 30 years together and were married on April 28, 2019, and after moving to Arrow Rock he helped Bunny operate Bunny’s Bed and Breakfast. He was a member of Freedom of the Road Riders, was a member of a band in his younger years, as well as enjoying music and dances. Ken also loved being a grandfather and went to as many activities as he could that his grandkids were participating in.

In addition to his wife, Bunny; he is survived by five children: Donna Hunter (Chris) of Laurie, Richard Blair (Jennifer) of Hartsburg, Cindy Blair of Meta, Russell Blair (Kristy Shepard) of Meta, and Sharlet Peterson (Brad) of Linn; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; Bunny’s children and their families (whom Ken treated just like his own): Wanda Thomas of Marshall, Robby Thomas (Lu Ann) of Slater, and Missy Thomas (Johnny Gant) of Arrow Rock; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three siblings: Johnny Blair of Twin Falls, ID, Zelda Hartman of Excelsior Springs, and Vernon Blair of Sedalia; as well as many extended family members.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents and step-father; two grandsons, Kenneth Robert Parrish and Matthew Peterson; and two brothers, Richard and Harry Blair.
