An area college is hosting a national exhibit featuring African American history.

According to Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Murrell Library is hosting a Black History Month exhibit: “A Place for All People: Introducing the National Museum of African American History and Culture.”

“A Place for all People” is a commemorative poster exhibition celebrating the opening of the Smithsonian’s museum. Based on the inaugural exhibitions of the museum, the posters highlight key artifacts that tell the rich and diverse story of the African American experience.

This exhibit is free and open to the public and is located inside MVC’s Technology Center. Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays through Monday, February 28.

Masks are strongly encouraged.

“A Place for All People” is organized by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service (SITES) in collaboration with the museum.
