The Missouri Public Service Commission has approved a filing made by Evergy Missouri West, Inc. to adjust the fuel and purchased power adjustment charge (FAC) on the bills of its electric customers.
According to a news release, Evergy Missouri West made two filings with the Missouri Public Service Commission. In its first filing, Evergy Missouri West proposed to adjust the FAC to reflect changes in its fuel and purchased power costs for the six month period of June through November 2021. The second filing was Evergy Missouri West’s FAC true-up.
For a residential customer using 1,000 kWh (kilowatt-hours) of electricity a month, the FAC will increase by approximately $4.56 a month, to an FAC of approximately $6.50 a month. This change is scheduled to take effect on March 1, 2022.
Evergy Missouri West provides electric service to approximately 347,400 customers in Missouri, including residents in Carroll, Johnson, Lafayette and Pettis counties in the KMMO listening area.
