Earl A. Aiken, 93, of Sweet Springs, MO, died Friday, February 11, 2022, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall, MO.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at First Christian Church in Sweet Springs, with Pastor Leigh Hartley officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Sweet Springs. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs. Born April 16, 1928, on a farm near Louisburg, KS, Earl was the son of the late Cyrus S. Aiken and Leura Whitaker Aiken. He was the third of six children. He was a graduate of Louisburg High School and attended Kansas State in Manhattan. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1946 and served on three ships until 1948. Earl married Jennie A. Jones in 1952 in Louisburg. He was employed by Panhandle Eastern Pipeline until retirement in January of 1989. Earl was a member of the Masonic Peace Lodge #234 of Louisburg for over 70 years. He enjoyed traveling, woodworking, puzzles and especially enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren.

Earl is survived by his wife Jennie, of the home; three children and their spouses, Becky and Dave Boughton, Janet and Randy Brandt and Jeff and Dorothy Aiken; one brother, Cyrus H. Aiken; sister-in-law, Paula Aiken; six grandchildren, Christie Hedgpeth, Sarah DeBray, Kathleen Brandt, Chris Bellamy, Amanda Bellamy and Serena Aiken; seven great-grandchildren, Nicole, Eli, Matthew and Taylor Hedgpeth, Owen and Adrianna DeBray, and Maya Bellamy; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by two sisters; and two brothers.
