A pre-trial conference is scheduled for a Kansas City man charged with a couple of felonies for allegedly pointing a handgun out of the driver’s-side window of a vehicle and discharging one round of ammunition across the westbound lanes of I-70 on July 19, 2021.

Court documents say Lanny Cunningham is charged with felonies for unlawful use of a weapon and three counts armed criminal action. Bond originally was set at $25,000 cash only. However, bond was amended to $25,000 cash or surety, and Cunningham posted surety bond on September 27.

Cunningham pleaded not guilty on July 21. His case was bound over to the trial division, and his pre-trial conference is scheduled to be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, April 4, at Lafayette County Circuit Court. His one-day jury trial is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 27.
