James Edward Jackson, age 91, of Houstonia, MO, died Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at his home.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 22, at Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs, with Travis Farr officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday, February 21, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Sweet Springs.

Born April 26, 1930, in Kansas City, MO, he was the son of the late William L. Jackson and Stella Marie Packham Jackson. He worked on small engines, was a lumberjack in the state of Washington and worked on the railroad as a young man. He was a very avid guitar player and loved lighthouses, boats and windmills.  

Survivors include one sister, Brenda Jackson of West Plains, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 15 brothers and sisters.
