An area law-enforcement agency is asking for help from the public in locating a man with an active warrant.

According to the Sedalia Police Department’s Crime Resolution Unit, 32-year-old Eric Shane Koons is wanted for probation violations of possession of a controlled substance and domestic assault. Koons is described as a white male and about 6-foot-tall and 150 pounds.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Koons is urged to contact the Sedalia Police Department’s Crime Resolution Unit; or, if outside of Sedalia, contact your local law-enforcement agency. You can remain anonymous.

Authorities say you should not take any police action yourself.
