A Centerview man is facing a sex-related felony charge for allegedly soliciting a teenage girl to adhere to requests that were sexual in nature.

According to a probable-cause statement, authorities allege while he was incarcerated at the Johnson County Jail, Matthew Paul Dempsey made several phone calls to a girl and asked the girl to expose her chest to him.

Authorities say calls were made on August 15, 16 and 25, 2021.

Court documents say Dempsey is charged with a felony for enticement or attempted enticement- actor 21 years of age or older and child less than 15 years of age. Bond is set at $20,000 cash only.

Dempsey pleaded not guilty on January 13. He was indicted by a Grand Jury on February 15. He is scheduled to be arraigned at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 23, at Johnson County Circuit Court.
