Two persons who have been charged with felonies after authorities allegedly found more than $60,000, some methamphetamine and other drug-related items in a vehicle after a traffic stop on I-70 in Saline County nearly three years ago have been released on bond awaiting their next hearings.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, on April 6, 2019, after a K9 made a positive alert for narcotics, the trooper says he located approximately 28 grams of meth, other drug-related items and $64,611 in cash.

Court documents say 30-year-old Lateasha Henshaw, of Conover, Mo., and 49-year-old Mark Chieng, of Sacramento, California, each is charged with two counts of a felony for delivery of a controlled substance. Each defendant posted $15,000 personal-recognizance bond on February 9.

A preliminary hearing for each defendant is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, at Saline County Circuit Court.
