A Wichita, Kansas, man is facing felony charges in Cooper County.

According to a release from the Boonville Police Department, 38-year-old Matthew S. Hewerdine, while already in custody at the Cooper County Detention Center, was served a Cooper County warrant charging him with felonies for first-degree burglary and stealing of $750 or more.

Court documents say bond is set at $30,000 cash or surety. He remains in custody.

Hewerdine was formally arraigned on Wednesday, February 16. His counsel-status hearing is scheduled to be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, at Cooper County Circuit Court.
