
Douglas Sharp, 64, of rural Sweet Springs, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 20, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 23, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Sweet Springs. Burial will follow at South Fork Cemetery south of Sweet Springs. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Sweet Springs Food Pantry and an online guestbook is available at www.campbell-lewis.com
Born November 30, 1957, in Kansas City, KS, he was the son of the late Thomas Sharp and Helen Walker Hostetter and the stepson of Kenneth Hostetter who survives of the home. Doug lived in the Kansas City, KS area during his early years where he worked at a sheltered workshop and moved to the rural Sweet Springs area over 30 years ago.
In addition to his stepfather, Ken Hostetter, he is survived by one brother, Monte Sharp (Pam) of Kansas City, KS; one sister-in-law, Mary Beth Sharp; as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins who all loved Doug very much.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Thomas “Tad” Sharp.
The world was a better place for Doug having been here.
