
Marshall Homeless Shelter and Services reminds area residents that it is accepting donations for hygiene and snack kits for those in need.
According to the organization, hygiene kits typically include toothbrushes and toothpaste; combs and/or brushes; soap; travel size shampoo and conditioner; deodorant; hand wipes and/or hand sanitizer and feminine products.
Donation ideas for snack kits include bottled water; granola bars; fruit snacks; crackers with peanut butter/cheese; canned protein with a pull tab (canned tuna, chicken, etc.); gallon-sized baggies and backpacks.
Individuals needing kits may pick one up at local warming stations. Items can be dropped off at House of Stories Bookshop at 111 East Arrow Street or at Hometown Pharmacy in Marshall.
