The Missouri Department of Agriculture invites the public to attend a ceremony proclaiming the week of February 19-26, 2022 as National FFA Week in Missouri, at the State Capitol in Jefferson City on Wednesday, February 23.

According to a news release, the day will begin at approximately 8:35 a.m. with a Tractor Parade. The proclamation ceremony is scheduled to begin at 9:20 a.m.

Prior to the ceremony, Governor Mike Parson and Lieutenant Governor Mike Kehoe will drive two John Deere tractors to work in honor of the FFA tradition of students driving their tractors to school during National FFA Week.

Director of Agriculture Chris Chinn, Education Commissioner Margie Vandeven and nearly 300 Missouri FFA students will welcome them both on the south lawn.

Following the ceremony, officials will host a Careers in Agriculture event for 300 Missouri FFA members.
