After tabling it for a few updates and corrections during the meeting earlier this month, the Marshall City Council was asked to approve and adopt a revised zoning district map for the city at its meeting on Tuesday, February 22.
According to the ordinance, the zoning district map had become difficult to interpret because of the nature and number of changes and additions it had undergone since 1981.
Boundaries of districts as designated are set out in Section 405.550 of the chapter of the City Code.
The new zoning district map shall replace and supersede the prior zoning district map.
The council approved the first reading of the ordinance. A second reading will need to be approved during a future council meeting before it goes into effect.
