During her report at the Marshall School Board meeting, on Tuesday, February 23, Superintendent Dr. Carol Maher read a letter from some of the staff at Bueker Middle School regarding a possible addition of an assistant principal.

Dr. Maher said a survey had been conducted regarding the topic, the results showed: 51 percent in favor of adding an assistant principal; 34 percent were in favor of adding a dean; and 15 percent of survey participants said no additional administrator was needed.

The board tabled a decision on any changes until a future meeting.

In other news, according to unofficial minutes from the closed session, the board approved Travis Reid as Bueker Middle School’s principal for the 2022-23 school year.
