An area law-enforcement agency is asking for help from the public in locating a man with an active warrant.

According to the Sedalia Police Department’s Crime Resolution Unit, 40-year-old James M. Steilling is wanted for failure to appear: stealing and second-degree burglary. Steilling is described as white and about 6-foot-1 and 210 pounds.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Steilling is urged to contact the Sedalia Police Department’s Crime Resolution Unit; or, if outside of Sedalia, contact your local law-enforcement agency. You can remain anonymous.

Authorities say you should not take any police action yourself.
