
Betty Lou Schlotzhauer, age 86, of Pilot Grove, MO, died peacefully Friday, February 25, 2022, at Katy Manor, surrounded by family.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, at Meisenheimer-Page-Dady Funeral Home in Pilot Grove, where the family will receive friends beginning at 9 a.m. Burial will follow at Pilot Grove Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be her grandchildren: Terry Streit, Brett Vollrath, Danae Glidwell, Adam Jobe, Ciara Kopp and Chloe Schlotzhauer.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or Alzheimer’s Association.
Betty was born February 6, 1936, in Napton, MO, to Virgil and Blanch (Bubbert) Doty.
On February 14, 1953, Betty and Milton “Buddy” Schlotzhauer Jr. were married in Bunceton, MO. She graduated from Bunceton High School in 1954.
She worked alongside Buddy on the family farm in Pilot Grove. Betty enjoyed working at J.D. Flowers in Pilot Grove for 11 years. She was a member of the Pilot Grove Community Church.
Betty Lou was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one brother, Gene Doty; and son-in-law, Bruce Jobe.
She leaves behind three caring children: Susan (Steve) Vollrath of Sunrise Beach, MO, Lori Jobe, and Kirk (Patty) Schlotzhauer, both of Pilot Grove, MO; six loving grandkids; ten adorable great-grandkids; one sister, Helen Johnson of Sun City West, AZ; and one brother, Larry (Ruby) Doty of Boonville, MO.
